Pending 221g Blue Mumbai

HI,

Here is my Case.

I was in US from last 4.5 years working for good IT firm @ client location.

Interview# 1
Visa interview Date: 24-Feb-2012
Result: Got 221g Blue slip with everything checked in the form and asked me to come inperson anyday @ 11:30 PM with all documents.
Planned return Date to US: 6-Mar-2012

Interview# 2
Date: 1-Mar-2012
Result: Got one more 221g without asking any single question VO gave me one more 221g and asked me to submit the documents @ VFS office. VO asked me to reschedule my return date and assured me that he will review all submitted documents very soon.

As of today i have not recived any update on my case.
I have called VFS office as well as sent an email to them for an update but no update at all.

It's really frustating when they do not give any update and when you have your Apt rent and other things going on in US. I never expected this kind of issue at all since i had all documents of my company and even i had my client letter too.

If i am getting an approved work permit status from USCIS then what is the point of giving trouble during stamping.

Anyway i don;t have choice rather of waiting here.

221g White slip AAP victim since 9th March 2012.

Visa interview date : March 9, 2012 (handed white slip 221G AAP and VO took my employer documents(tax returns, notarized employee list and my passport))
Passport Returned: March 14th, 2012
USCIS/ Consulate verification :March 14th, 2012(USA company) and March 15th, 2012(Indian company).
Passport Submitted: No(i didnt receive any update since March 14th, 2012).


As per the hyderabad consulate information , we can find case update information using link(http://hyderabad.usconsulate.gov/pen...sed-visas.html).

Where do we find this PDF information "CEAC barcode appeared in PDF"?

I believe each consulate in India functions in a different way. At the Mumbai Consulate, once you receive your clearance, your barcode number appears on the 'Case Status Report' or CSR list (pdf file). At the Chennai Consulate, a case number is assigned (beginning with 2012-ZZZ- YYYY ) instead of the DS-160 barcode number, and that case number gets a status update to 'Issued' upon receiving clearance (until then, the status of the case number is 'pending processing.' Maybe @ Hyderabad, it's a different system, which does not generate a pdf list of CEAC barcodes.

If you work directly for your company, which you say is good and reputed, your case should be resolved pretty soon (typically within a month or so). Is your passport with the VO?

Though it is good reputed IT firm response is getting delayed. I am hopping for best to get it soon.

Mine is EC model(working since 2010 for same employer and client)
COS from F1-H1.
Interview date:-7th dec...handed over 221g blue slip.
23rd dec:-submitted all required documents at VFS ahemdabad.
Mumbai consulate received my documents on 31st JAN.
(Might be they misplaced my documents).
Got e-mail from consulate on 5th april regarding submission of my passport.
Going to submit my passport on 9th April...
If you need more information I am more than happy to provide that.

finally got my passport.... and STAMPED! what a relief... 3 mnths of struggle is over... i ll head back "home" next week...

EVC model, H1b extension
Gave me 221g blue form with no document checked on it. He took my LCA/I-129, client letter.
Asked me to sign on a document with question/answers I gave on employee-employer relationship. He said we will get back to you. No update till now.

Do I need to submit any document ? Not sure why VO didn't ask me any document and asked me to sign on the question/answers ? Is it a bad or good sign ? Is there anyone in same situation ?

After reading through the forum, it looks like the approx wait time in this case is 3 months ... not sure if the client can wait that long.

To all the friends who got email with final processing text, I was wondering what is pending letter and what exactly they mean by courier envelope?

221g letter received from the consulate is the pending letter and the courier envelop is one that you can get from VFS.

I called VFS and they said you can purchase envelope from any stationary shop. So no return address and no stamps on the envelope?

Journey So far!

This is regarding my wife's H4 visa.
First appeared for H4 visa in Delhi (Mumbai consulate was closed and hence went to Delhi) (may 2011) when I was in EVC model. Was given 221(g) green and after documents submission, her visa was denied and my petiton was sent to USCIS for review.

Dec. 2011 I joined my client directly, and wife reappeared for h4 visa (Mumbai consulate, Jan 2012) and was given 221(g) blue after asking her about what happened in delhi interview.
Submitted 221(g) documents to VFS mumbai on Feb 22, 2012 and today receieved email saying:
Greetings from the Nonimmigrant Visa Section of U.S. Consulate General Mumbai.

Please follow the instructions below in order to continue processing your pending visa application further.

We are ready for final processing. Please submit your passport, pending letter and the courier envelope to the Consulate General via any of the VFS offices. Please carry a copy of this email for ready reference.

Please note that this email communication does not confirm that your visa is issued at this time.
