Query: COS from H1B to F1

Hello,

I'm on my H1B visa in the US working for a company.
I'm planning to do my higher studies in the US and would like to do it full-time which means I have to quit my job.

I have the followinf questions:

1) If I opt for COS from H1 to F1 and if my COS is rejected, will my H1 be also rejected ?

2) Is it safer to apply for COS premium over the regular ?

3) How many days does it take for COS premium to occur ?

What problems do you see in my case if I want to be on F1 next fall ?

IF your H1 I-94 is still valid and if you are still working with the H1 employer, you should be fine.

2) Is it safer to apply for COS premium over the regular ?
There is no premium for I-539.
3) How many days does it take for COS premium to occur ?
2 to 3 months for regular, no premium
What problems do you see in my case if I want to be on F1 next fall ?
