Mumbai Consulate dates for Jan?

I am desperately trying to find dates for the Mumbai consulate. I need to return back by 3rd week of January and I cannot find a single date in 1st week of Jan. I am currently in the US and will be flying to India by december end. Any ideas when the dates will open for the consulate?

Alternatively if I need to go to say Delhi or other consulate, how long does it take to stamp and return the passport for me to pick it up?
