  • Stamping Question:H1 to H4 then H1

    Hi Everyone

I am traveling to India next month and will need to get my visa stamped but have a confusion about it.

    I was on H1b from July 2008- June 2011,
then On H4 from July 2011 to September 2011, then went back on H1B Oct 1 2011

Now If I go to India:

Will I have to get both Visa Stamped: i.e H4 for the 3 months periods and the new H1
Will I need to fill 2 applications? DS 160
Do I have to get 2 HDFC forms?

Sorry if I sound naive but I want to be cautious when I travel to India

    Thanks

Visa is only an entry document to U.S. If you are planning to enter U.S in H1B status, then get the H1B visa stamped. If you are planning to enter U.S in H4 status (and not work), then get the H4 stamped. All that you need is a valid visa to enter U.S in a specific immigration status.
