  • H1B Premium processing

    Hi All,

IN Sep 28 2011, my H1B visa was filed with USCIS in normal processing mode. It was moved to Due to urgent project requirement, my manager has put the visa under premium processing. I have subscribed for status in USCIS, So on 21st Dec I got a mail from USCIS stating that they have received a premium processing request for my H1 visa petition. Immediately on 22nd it was moved back to Acceptance stage. And after that till today its in acceptance stage itself. I heard premium processing is for 15 days. but more than a week its in acceptance stage and not even moved to initial review. Whats happenning there. Did any one faced a similar situation?? Please advice me whats happenning with my petition.

Premium processing take 15 days. They can even approve the petition on the 15th day. The online case tracking isn't always accurate. Just relax and wait for 15 days to get a response from USCIS.

      Hi,

Thanks for the response. But I dont understand why did they reversed the status from initial review to acceptance state?

      could you please clarify this?

      awaiting your reply.

No one knows. This is not a new thing and people have asked this question immihelp multiple times. Like I mentioned in my previous reply, don't worry about all these. Just wait for 15 days to get a result.

          Hi,

I posted the same question to my company immigration team. This was their reply. Whenever premium is done for an already applied visa petition, then USCIS will start the afresh from initial step. Hence they moved it to Acceptance stage.

Anyways my visa got approved the next day itslef.

          Thanks all for your help.

That information is correct. Once USCIS received the documents requested in the RFE, they will start the process from the beginning. The 15 days premium processing clock will reset and you should get the result within 15 days from responding to the RFE.
