H1B approval Notice validity dates and Visa Validity dates

Good Morning!

Sometimes (very rarely) H1B approval notice and the I 94 on the passport shows different validity dates. Can you please let me know which one we need to consider?

Petition approval notice gives the beneficiary a right to work in the US. I-94 gives a right to stay in the US. In most normal cases I-94 date will be earlier than or same as petition expiry date.
