Visa Appointment in Hyderabad Consulate with expired Passport

If we have 2 passports, p1 and p2.
P1 expired in 2009.
P2 is active.

By mistake the receipt in HDFC is taken using p1.
Can we book a visa appointment using p1 in the Hyderabad Consulate?
And fill the DS160 using p2?

I took the appoitment now using p1 .
I have kept the expiry date as p2 while booking the appoitment
should I can cancell this?

Can HDFC change my Passport details with the receipt


Please let me know if you are aware of a situation like this.

Check with the HDFC bank and with VFS helpdesk. Don't fill DS160 with the information from an expired passport.
