F1 stamping rejected - travel on old H4

Hello all,

I entered USA on H4 visa and successfully got a COS to F-1. I am on a vacation in India and went to the US embassy to get the F-1 stamped but it was denied.

The VO did not scratch or stamp anything on my H4 visa which is still valid. Can I travel back to USA using that valid H4 visa?

Would appreciate an urgent response. Thanks in advance.

Yes (Assuming your spouse is in valid H1B status).
