Q: H1-B recapture

Q: I want to recapture my H1-B date which I didn't use., but I stayed outside the country for more then 7 years,
May I know if I can apply for H1-B without cap. for the recaptured days,

One H1B CAP is valid only for 6 years. If your last H1B approval notice was filed before 6 years, then you cannot recapture any time left in that H1B CAP. In that case your only option is to go for a fresh H1B filed under a new CAP.
