i got my status changed too from admin processing to issued. It took almost 40 days , from 12th DEC to 22 Jan.

Today status changed to Visa Issued, so overall it took 1 month and 5 days.
Visa Interview Date : Dec 13 2012
Location: New Delhi ( no docs required)
Visa Issue Date: Jan 17 2013
Passport received date: not known ( hopefully there is no surprise there)

Hi All,

I am in same boat as you are in.. I appeared for interview on 12 th Dec. Got Pink slip asking for docs. I sent the docs on same day via email [email protected]. I havent heard anything from embassy yet. CEAC site says "under admin processing", the case is not getting updated .. the last update is 12th dec ( which was my interview date)..
It is already 28 days.I am worried now. Do I need to send the docs in any other way or sending to the email ID is fine( I got an automated reply stating my docs are received)

I passed the 3-4 weeks timelimit as stated by lady at counter 30 in new delhi embassy.

Any body have any suggestion for me..or waiting for VISA from 12th dec onwards or earlier.

Can you check your case number on the US Embassy website? I am not able to check my case number there. It shows that "we are not able to find case Number ZZZ"!

Sorry to hear about the long wait. I interviewed on 7th Dec for H1B and was given a pink slip, clearance was received on 27th Dec, and they finally issued the visa on 8th Jan. Mine might have been a straightforward Mantis check due to a PhD in CS. Same story last time I came here to extend my F1 -- took 20 days to receive clearance.

You can try emailing [email protected] and explain that you have been waiting for a long time with no updates. They might escalate your case with the consulate so that you at least get an updated status (I did that). Of course, this won't speed up your admin processing -- the consulate is simply waiting to hear back from the State Department. Unfortunately, the whole process is very opaque. Good luck!

I attended h1 b on nov 1 2012
Very few questions and nothing complicated but I was give a pink slip and no documents asked.
It's now 70 days and the case is still under processing . I am not sure how many days it will take again. Maybe I have a common Muslim name for that reason it is getting delayed I believe.
I also read that it takes sometimes a year to slice this admin processing . Is this true ?
How long u all guys are waiting ?
