221g Pink Slip at New Delhi US embassy H1B renewal

Any news or updates for anyone...i completed 5 months(:...i dont know how long to wait now...oh i forgot to mention, i had got a call from the embassy on oct 17th to submit some info over email, which i did. This same info i had submitted to them via vfs sometime last week of sept, but they said they never got, so told to forward it again...
Wat a waste of time it is...they r not understanding how important it is for everyone who gets stuck here for months....and in my case i thot everything would be easy, as i am a FT employee with a consulting company with a masters degree from US. I didnt know tht they would harrass such people too, n tht too for such long...

Seems like Delhi Embassy have forgotten about the pending 221g. Has anyone's 221g from Delhi been cleared recently? I wish they had denied my visa then, rather than put it on hold for such a long time. They need to put some time cap on the processing window this is ridiculous.

I guess it takes time. But I would assume you would hear something soon from the embassy. Did you check with DOS?

I really hope so, checked the website for my petition number, there is no update, is there any DOS no i can call on

I too received 221g and have been waiting for a reply for the past 4 months. I went for the interview on july 19th 2012 and was told it would take 2-4 weeks for it to be resolved.

I have been given pink slip (221 g administrative processing) on H1b stamping in delhi embassy. The consular (Indian Lady) said i will get the visa in 3-4 weeks. I have not been asked for any document till date. My passport is kept with the embassy. It has been 8 weeks , I did not hear anything from embassy. I am still waiting for the visa.

Can anybody comment or suggest from his past experience when can I get the visa ?

i called the customer support today n asked them about the status, if they email my query to the us embassy. Then they r telling me tht even before i ask for the status i shud wait 60 days frm the date of last submission; ridiculous.

Listening to the thread i really feel, such a ridiculous system it is. Anyways, i got all the email communication at [email protected], but from sept 26th onwards, the system has been changed and this email id is no longer in use, instead check the email id on ustraveldocs.com.

One more thing i forgot to mention, the second time i got the doc request, sometime in July, i had got it in a format where usually the slip looks like, not sure wat color though. On tht it has a case no. 2012-xxx-xxx-x, not sure never checked it. I use to follow tht case no. and everytime it gave a msg tht it is not a valid case no. So stopped checking it.

I also got a handwritten case number on my Interview confirmation letter and it has a format of 2012ZZZ-ZZZ-1. But as you said. It never got recognized on Delhi Embassy website. This is so pathetic. They give us a case number and even after 2 months it doesnt show up on the website. Cherry on the cake: The Embassy people have no idea why the heck it doesnt show up. I am just appalled by this customer service. Im sure Im gonna have my ahaa moment very soon.

No i did not get any slip, i was requested al the documents over email. So i am not even sure which color slip would that be, as i am asked all the documents over email.

I'm waiting since May,2012. No slip given, no document asked but just handed over the passport without stamping at the VFS counter. Till now no communication from Consulate.

Can you tell me from which email id have you recieved the the communications, so that I can closely track?

I got green slip which can not be tracked down .. I tried to get updates from VFS but they said its under admin. process and can't tell anything until they get any notification from the consulate so they do not know anything..!!!! We did make inquiry through the senator but got the same reply..!!! On my 221g letter case number is written but it's something like this @@@/@@@ so I can't track it online like people who get pink slip can, because they were provided specific case numbers...!!! So I have no idea where it's going...!!!!

I am also waiting since December 2011 from New Delhi, but i got green slip to submit few docs from employers side. I had called up DOS couple of times and every time they said the same thing that your case is with the consulate, we do not have anything here..!!! My passport is also with them since the day of my interview. As far far as the statement from DOS lady about " All the cases are resolved in embassy in India" - I totally disagree with that...!! We all know that, dont we? Anyways lets hope for the best..!

I was interviewed in Delhi on may 29th, 2012, the consular said my visa was approved and just kept my PP. Later after one month, after constant follow-up, the vfs told me tht my case is in admin processing. so the embassy asked me 3 times over email to submit doc which i did. n the last submission was done on sept, which they told to send via email itself. Now its been more than 4.5 months n still waiting to hear back. I am full-time employee with a consulting company and a HR as profession, i do not understand wats taking them so long.
Please share your comments.
