    Hi there,
I am also waiting since December 2011 from New Delhi, but i got green slip to submit few docs from employers side. I had called up DOS couple of times and every time they said the same thing that your case is with the consulate, we do not have anything here..!!! My passport is also with them since the day of my interview. As far far as the statement from DOS lady about " All the cases are resolved in embassy in India" - I totally disagree with that...!! We all know that, dont we? Anyways lets hope for the best..!
    Thanks
    Regards

Now its been more than 4.5 months n still waiting to hear back. I am full-time employee with a consulting company and a HR as profession, i do not understand wats taking them so long.

    Hi,
I completed 60 days yesterday. So I called up DOS and told the rep that I was given a case number to follow up by the VO but it has never worked. She said my case is still under administrative processing. I told her that its difficult for me to followup or track my H1B case because the case number does not work. She said since I'm past 60 days, so she will send an inquiry to Delhi office about my case.
Don't know if thats good or bad?

I checked the case number on http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/outreach/aoadb.html website. it says case number not recognized. And passport tracker says "Your passport is under process at New Delhi Consulate".
Also how do we count the number of weeks passed from visa interview date? only the business days or all days in general ??

    @Visit2011

The handwritten case number will be usable in the consulate web site only, on VFS link you can just use passport number which wont give any informataion other than standard response, which consulate you went for interview, In that particular cosulate web site you can track your case.

221g Pink slip New Delhi, 19 days and counting...

Hi Guys, my Interview for L1 Visa Extension was on Aug 31st and got a pink slip. Passport was retained at counter 30 and was asked to submit Resume and other documents. After 19 days today, my online case status is unable to identify the case #. VFS passport tracker shows 'Under Processing' with US Consulate. Very disgusted and distressed !
Got my return flight cancelled and re-booked....anyone in the same boat?

Help Needed for H1B admin processing no slip no case number - New Delhi - 10 Sep 2012

    Hello All
I need some help in understanding how my H1B Stamping case look like. I attended my first H1B visa interview at New Delhi consulate on 10th Sep 2012 with my dependents (Wife and Daughter) and was at the time of first counter of submitting visa fee slips the indian guy entered the I 797 petition information into system and took almost 10 min to understand something on his system and then he went to somebody else who came with him and said it is H1B and ok to proceed which tool almost 15 min, it looked strange to me to take that much time there itself. Then Visa officer asked some very simple 4-5 questions and said we need to do some administrative processing, i asked how much time it will take and she said one week or two weeks but not sute exactly how much time it will take. Then she said you are all set, She just took my I797 and passports with her and told i can track my passport on VFS web site, I asked do i need any case number and she said No.
Since i was not given any pink or any slip can it be case of PIMS delay.
Also my case is somewhat different, I have a pending L1B case from my current employer in Chennai consulate which is pending process since first week of June 2012, may be it went for Background check and still waiting which i dont want to persue if i get H1B stamped. but VO did not talked anything about that. At that time also my passport was kept there and i have to withdraw the passport from the Chennai consulate. Please provide some hints as it is making me restless nights as i dont want to lose job.

Just wondering why they didnt ask for any documents as i was carrying almost everyhting with me what they could have asked for. I noticed someone mentioned in one of the post that if they dont ask for any documents then it could be some name related issue on passport. But VO never mentioned that visa has been approved and it just needs admin processing, they just told me to go to counter 30 for additional questions where i got 221g. But they've kept my PPT, application form and I-797 approval notice. God knows what is going on and how much time it will take to process. Even the case status is also not available on consulate website , for first two days it shows case under processing and now it says case number not found. My family attended the intw last month in Mumbai consulate and got their visa approved and stamped for H4 but for me i got 221g..lets see what happens , will keep posted the updates......
    Hello Ssolve,

I am in same boat. Here is my case :
I have been given pink slip (221 g administrative processing) on H1b stamping in delhi embassy. The consular (Indian Lady) said i will get the visa in 3-4 weeks. I have not been asked for any document till date. My passport is kept with the embassy. It has been 8 weeks , I did not hear anything from embassy. I am still waiting for the visa.

Can anybody comment or suggest from his past experience when can I get the visa ?

Hi guys, just wanted to add my experience here - this forum gave me a lot of useful info to get through the 221g period. I received my visa today, about 20 days after document submission. So it sounds like 3 weeks for pink slip with docs is about standard for new delhi
