  • Lost I-797A with I-94

I am H4 visa holder. I lost my most recent I-797A along with the new I-94 attached with it. I am planning on travelling out of the country next month. Do i need my latest I-94 or would it be sufficient if i provide my original I-94 along with a copy of the latest I-94? Will I have any problems at the time of departure and at the time of coming back in to the country?

Assuming both I-94 numbers were same, you should be fine.

Be careful with all your documents in the future. Keep copies of everything in a separate place in case originals are lost. If this extension/change of status was filed through your spouse's employer or their lawyer, they may have a copy of the approval notice.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

Yes both the I-94s have the same number on it. Any suggestions if i should file for a form I-102 or do you think i will have any problems which only a copy?
