Name misspelledin I-797B

Hi, my H1B approved and received I-797B, but my first name is misspelled in I-797B.

Please let me how much time it will take if my employer file for an amendment to correct the name.

Or shall I go for VISA stamping with incorrect name.

Please advice.

You need to get the name corrected before you appear for the interview. Otherwise you will easily get stuck there on a 221g. If it was your employer's mistake (Get a copy of I-129 from your employer and check your name there), then they have to pay for the amendment. It will take 2-3 months by normal process and 15 days by premium. If it was USCIS's mistake, then they will correct it for free.
