H1B Eligibility question

I am currently staying in USA on L1A visa, and will complete 6 years of US stay by end of Jun 2012. I would like to know If i can apply H1B in this Apr-2012 quota? If I am eligible, should i apply for fresh H1B or apply conversion from L1A to H1B?

You are not eligible for H1B. H1B + L1 together is for 6 years. You can either stay in L1A for another 1 year or leave U.S now and file H1B after completing 1 year outside U.S.
