During my next visit to India, I got to go for H1 stamping. This visa will be with my new employer. But my wife's H4 is an extension filed with my old employer valid till Oct 2006. I was told that I need not apply for her H4 after my employment change since her H4 will be based on my new H1 stamping(also she got a valid I94). As such she doesn't have any paper work for her H4 stamping since it will be based on my H1 satmping. If this is the case, can we appear together for visa interview. We will be going to US consulate in Chennai.
