Can H4 Visa candidate apply for job and attend interview in USA?

Hi Gurus,

Thanks a lot for answering my previous question!!

My next question is, I need to move to US for longer duration, and my wife is working with other employer than me. So in case she has to travel with me she will have to quit the current job in India.

I dont want to ruin her career for the sake of mine, is there any way she can apply for jobs and attend interviews while she is in US with me on the H4 Visa ?? if yes may I know the procedure?
If no are there any alternative suggestions?

Yes, she can apply for jobs and interview for those. However, in order to start working she will need her employer to file an H1 for her. As of now, the earliest start date for H1 is Oct 1 and it can only be filed while the annual cap remains open.
