My H1 was approved last week using a LCA/Petition through Employer A, for a project with client A(8 months duration, vending January 2013). As a result the stamping I have currently is valid till next 8 months starting next month.

Now I am planning to move to another project with Client B ( Same Employer A) which will go on for 1.5 years. Since I have not yet joined this employer, please let me know what is required to get started to work with Clint B project ? Since this second project will go on above the 8th Month( Visa validity), do I need to go for another interview and get a proper stamping done?

The empllyer will need to file a new LCA and once the LCA gets approved, they should file a H1B amendment. Once the amendment gets approved, you can travel to U.S using the newly approved petition and already approved visa. No need to get the visa stamped again.
