Hello Seniors,
I am in 5 th year of my H1b. If i got approval of I-140 then how many years of extension i get ? is it only one year extension or 3 year of extension ?

You are eligible to get 3 year extension based on the approved I-140. But USCIS won't approve the extension for 3 year unless your employer can show work itinerary for the duration of extension requested.

H1 Extension

In IT parlance your employer will have to detail out the work and projects you would be doing for them for the next three years. If you are sub contracted to a client USCIS might insist on seeing a SOW/Client letter stating that the contract between your employer and client is valid for the next three years. This is my opinion.
