    L1 to H1 procedure

    hi,
    I am planning to change from L1 visa to H1 Visa this year. I am working in the USA since Dec 2000 on my L1. So having finished 5 years in the US can you please advise on the consequences and where i should be getting my first H1 stamped, Canada or my home country India?
