  • First Name is missing in I-797

    Hi,

In my I-797, Notice of Action Beneficary name is displayed as 'First Name Last Name, NO NAME GIVEN' whereas it should be 'Last Name, First Name' .
Also in my I-129 form Family Name(Last Name) is displayed as 'Last Name' and Given Name (First Name) is displayed is displayed as 'First Name' Which is correct and as per my Passport page.

Please tell me should I get my I-797 updated with correct Beneficiary name or should I go with my current I-797, Notice of Action.

and If I go with current I-797, Notice of Action then will this cause any issues in my H1 B stamping.

    Please help me.

    With Best Regards,

If you have time, get the approval notice corrected. If the information given in form I-129 is correct and if USCIS made a mistake while printing your approval notice, then they will correct it for free of charge and they might be able to do it in a shorter timeframe. If it was your employer/attorney's mistake, then it will cost you and it can take about 2-3 months to get the amended approval notice.
