SURNAME issue in H1B Petetiton

Hi

I have received my petetions and in that they have mentioned my Name GAURAV SHARMA SHARMA while in interview letter DS 160 form and Passport my Name mentioned is GAURAV SHARMA.

Does it create any issue during VisaIntervew?

Please let me know if anybody have any idea.

Get a copy of the form I-129 filed by your employer and see what is mentioned there. If it was wrong there, then ask the employer to get it corrected as it was their mistake. It will take 2-3 months to get the amendment done in this case when filed under normal process. But a receipt notice mentioning that an amendment filed along with a copy of teh new I-129 for the amendment will work for the visa interview along with the existing approval notice.

If the name is entered correctly in I-129, but printed wrongly in I-797, then it is USCIS mistake and they will correct it for free and they will do it in less time.
