F1 to H1

Hi,

I am currently pursuing PhD and am going to discontinue the program till my work visa starts on Oct 1st. I have exhausted my Masters OPT.

I have an offer for internship this summer. Kindly do let me know if it is possible to intern registering for CPT as I am unsure if it will have any impact on the H1b visa.

CPT is integral part of F1 status. You will need to maintain F1 status until the time your change of status to H1 gets approved. Consult an experienced attorney.
