Interview in Kolkata but I am from Hyd

Hello All,

I am from Hyd and my passport is from hyd. However, I have booked an appointment in tts in Kolkata as i got it 3 months earlier than chennai.

ttsvisa site says you need to DEMONSTRATE that you have an urgency to go to US if book interview in kolkata/delhi. How are we suppose to do this? Do we need extra documents from the employer for this?

You might want to get a letter from Employer but I do not know the format and specifications. Please let me know if you get more info about this.

By the way when did you take the appointment? If you look at the tts website now it is mentioned that people from Chennai Consular district can only apply to Delhi. Earlier both Delhi and Calcutta were there now it says only Delhi. I took appointment at Calcutta a month ago for aug 22. But now I don't know if can still go to Calcutta?

I am in the same situation too. I am travelling on june 28 to hyderabad. have an appointment in calcutta on july 5th. the chennai consualte web site says that people who already have appointments will be seen. but well, i have no choice now. there are no appointments in chennai or delhi, so have to give this a shot and see what happens.
