H1B Visa Expenses

Hi,

I would like to know approx cost for H1B visa processing. One of the attorneys quote abt 7-8K excluding visa stamping in India. This will be the renewal after 6 yrs cap. It is straight forward case. Is it reasonable quote?

The H1B petition cost should be taken care by the employer. It is illegal for you to pay that cost. Look at instruction to file form I-129 (in uscis.gov) to figure out the fee details. It varies from one employer to another. The lawyer fee differs from one to another. The attorney you are talking about seems to be an expensive one.

Well, it depends on the attorney that your employer hires. There are attorneys who charge less for their service. And there are also attorneys who charge more than $7000.
