  • urgent question: sibbling and mother in US, should I mention in h1B

    Hi,

I need to appear for PA H1B,I am about to filing DB 160 form.
I am having a brother and he is in US now with his family. Recently he applied for Green card also. My mother is having a visitors visa and she is also in US now.

Should I mention my brother and mother details in DB 160 form.

Apart from this, In my passport father name is mentioned : Sati Reddy

In my brother, mother passport my father name is mentioned : Sathi Reddy, will this be an issue?

    Appreciate for the quick reply.

    Thanks,
    Rajareddy.

Brother has to be mentioned. There is no harm in mentioning mother either.

Father's name will not be a problem.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

Appreciate your quick reply kabkada .. Please answer below also.
      1. Some people around me are saying .. " as all your complete family is in US.. visa office will think we will settle thr and it will reduce the chance getting the visa"
      2. Wht should I say if he verify my brother and my passport details and ask me that your father name was different .. Can I Say like " in Our native language both are acceptable " or pls suggest me a better answers .. why because I can't change the name of father so easily becz its same on all my certificates also.

      Thanks,
      Rajareddy.

It is wrong to suppress any information in the DS-160 willfully. If caught now, or later, you can be barred completely from entering US. Dont risk it. This is my opinion.

H1B Visa allows for immigrant intent, so it is not a problem even if all your family is US Citizens.

Father's name is also not a problem at all.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
