Need info on H1B

Hi All

I would like to know below details regarding H1B Visa processing:

1) My Petition gets filed on May. 17.2012, till when can i expect my petition to be approved.
2) Once filed is there any chance of receiving RFE?
3) I already have H4 visa, if I get H1B Visa, will my H4 be rejected automatically?
4) In case if I travel on H4, can I apply work permit? Is it easy to get it in US while I have been staying there as a dependent

>>> It takes 2-3 months to get a decision in normal process and 15 days by premium.

>>> Why not? That is what RFE is for.

>>> The H4 visa in the passport will remain valid. When you appear for the H1B visa interview, the VO may cancel your H4 visa.

>>> H4 cannot work. You cannot get a work permit when you are in H4 status.
