Maximum Non-Immigrant status for L1 and H1

Hi,

I was on L1b before for 3years 6months after that went back to India due to the rejection of L1b. After staying in India for 8months I came back to US on H1.

Can anyone tell me will the 6years concept apply in my case(L1 & H1)?

Yes. Since you did not spend 1 complete year outside U.S, you have to count the time spend in U.S in L1 status. L1 + H1B together is for 6 years.
