Revoking H1 application

Hi,

My company has applied for my H1 application in April 2012 which is in initial review, I have my OPT valid until June 2013.

I had a better opportunity from other company and I have moved on.

I have requested my previous company to revoke my H1 application so that I can continue on my OPT till June 2013.

Is this a possibility?

Does revoking my H1 application Before OCT put me back in my OPT status?

If the H1B is revoked, then you remain to be in OPT status. If the H1B gets approved with a new I-94, then you will be in H1B status and you should be working for the H1B sponsor unless you leave the country before the H1B effective date and return back in F1 OPT after the H1B effective date.

What happens if my H1 gets approved(effective date is OCT1), Can I transfer H1 to my new employer before OCT?

Technically I will be on OPT till OCT 1 2012, if My H1 gets approved
