No. Only a H1B approval will secure you a H1B CAP that can be used to file a transfer with another employer.

Hi,

I am on a strange issue during conversion from OPT to H1.

am on OPT at present and it is valid till Nov 2012.
My employer has applied H1B for me and it reached USCIS on June 5th 2012.
Now due to some reason I had got a termination letter from the current employer.

All I have is just the receipt number of the H1B filed.
Now Can I use this receipt # to file a new H1 with another employer?

Please help.
