H1B - How soon can i travel to US?

I am currently holding a valid H1 Visa, which is valid from Oct 1st. I got my Visa stamped earlier this month.

So am is elligble to travel now itself or do i need to wait till Oct 1st?

If it is valid from 01st OCt you can travel at most 10 days before its validity start that is around Sept 20, 2012. This is my opinion, do consult experts too.

You can travel on or after September 21st.
