  • H1-B Transfer

I am on H1-B Visa with Company A. Company B has filed for my H-1B Transfer under regular processing. I have received the H1-B Transfer Filing Receipt from Company B. It is a full-time position with Company B (No Consulting). I am planning on giving an about 3 Weeks notice to Company A.

    1. Can company A do anything within this 3 Weeks period to jeopardize my joining at Company B after 3 weeks or during H1-B Extension/Stamping later on with Company B? Anything to affect my immigration status?

    2. I understand that joining Company B with H1-B Transfer Filing Receipt is a big risk in an instance if my transfer petition gets rejected. I do have Masters from a US University and it is a full-time position with Company B. Do these facts help in reducing my chances of rejection?

    Many Thanks.
