  • H1B visa interview question

    Hi,
I read that they will ask applicants if they are going back to India.
The offer I have is a permanent offer and we have plans to stay in the US for at least 10 years before returning to India.
Is it safe to mention the above fact?
FYI. The duration of y H1B has been approved for 3 years.
Please give me your opinions and I appreciate your input.
    Thank you for your input

Well, for now you can stay only till the petition expiry date. Whether you will file extension later and whether it will get approved by USCIS or not is a different story. For now, you can legally stay in U.S only for 3 years. So mention that.
Not a legal advice. Use of this information is strictly at your own risk.

I never heard of such a question being asked to an H1 applicant. By its nature, H1 is dual intent. But as Shervin says, if asked, thats the only thing you can say.
This is my opinion. Not a legal advice
