L2H conversion question

Hi All,

I have a question, recently my company has applied my L1 to H1B conversion. Due to some urgent personal circumstances, i might need to travel back to India. Is there any impact of travelling to india on my application, because it is still pending with USCIS.

I m here on L1B on extension, i don't have stamping. so, can't come back. I need to get my petition and stamped in india. I can get my petition in india through my employer right?

Please advice.

If you leave, then the COS to H1B might get denied and the H1B can get approved for consular process. As long as your plan is to leave the country and wait for the H1B approval and then get the H1B visa stamped and return back, there is no issues in you leaving the country.
