Spouse name endorsement on Passport

Hi all,

My wife had applied for her passport before marriage. So her name on passport is her own with out the changed name. Now she has applied for H4. Does she need to get my name endorsed on the Passport before her interview which is to be scheduled in August. I am not talking of changing of new name 9in this case i think a new passport is issued) but i am talking of endorsing spouse name on her old passport.

If she has to endorse, what's the procedure and how much time it will take?

It is always better in all the case that your wife has your name endosed in her passport.. and it just takes about 3 hrs to get this done...
