H1-B Visa processed, but passport delivered without the Visa stamped

Hello

During my H1-B visa interview at mumbai consulate, I was told that my visa has been processed, and my passport would be delivered to the address provided.

Next day, I got my and my spouse passport delivered, but there was no H1-B visa stamped on my passport,
but my spouse had her H4 visa stamped.

There is no documents or any written details why the visa wasn't stamped.

It looks to me that, it could be a mistake by the consulate, that the visa was not attached.

Can anyone guide me, what should be done ?

I have been contacting VFS centre, but not getting proper response.

Contacting VFS or writing directly to the consulate are the only options.
