L1 -> H1
Hi all,
I am an employee of an Indian company(A). I am working here for a client on L1 through the company A. I have got I-94 till 2007.
Then I wanted to shift to H1 and applied for a H1 through a consultant (B) here. When I was filing the H1, we mentioned that we will get visa stamp (in passpaort) outside US.
But now, looking at chennai consulate appointment dates, it seems I won't get an appointment in this year after I receive my H1 papers.
So I would like to change the status from L1 to H1 after I get my H1 is approved.
Please guide me is it possible, how much time it takes.....
