Query on H1 and H4

I have a H1b petition and I am yet to go for stamping. My wife has a stamped H1b from one of the reputed company.Now she is not willing to travel onsite and wants to come with me. Can I take her to dependent visa stamping? Will her H1b gets cancelled ? If her visa gets cancelled will her petition be still valid ? Can she come with me on H4 and use the already available petition for H4 to H1 conversion in US ? Please suggest.
