stamping in INDIA

Hi,

I am on H1b visa, 6 th year is going to end sep 30 2012. Myself and my wife both has stamped visa in passport with end date sep 30 2012.

I am in USA and my wife is in India on vacation.

Recently my visa extn has been approved for another year and got 797 copy. My employer did't renew visa for my wife.

so my wife wants to come back to USA.

1) Is she ok to come back with my 797 copy or she needs to go for stamping?


2) If I want to visit India and return before sep 30 2012 to USA. do i still need to go for stamping?


3) Lets say my wife gets stamping for renewal period before I land in India, we can come back both together before sep 30 so that i can avoid stamping?? I got only 1 week vacation.

You or your wife can return to the US without visa stamping at any time before your current visa stamp expires.

If you or your wife want to return after that, you need visa stamping first.
