visiting while form 130 filed?

US citizen form 130 filed for wife from Canada. Can I go to Canada and visit her? And if yes, what should be reason disclosed for visiting? (keep it general like visiting family? or be specific)....also same question would apply coming back across border



I plan on going up, then traveling internationally with her, then coming back to Can and driving back.



I don't want to lie nor do I want to be turned away from border
