Can a EB-3 case be convert to EB-2 and retain EB3 Priority Date?

My first EB-3 priority date was on December 2000.
The same employer filed my second EB-3 labor certificate request and got me a second priority date April 1, 2003. And now, I have my I-140 approved waiting for the priority date.
I have Master's degree and tons of work experience and my employer, the same one, is willing to convert my EB-3 to EB-2. However, I am wondering if it is possible to change to EB-2 and go through PERM and reuse my April 1, 2003 Priority date?
Would someone in this forum help me?

Also, I would like ot know if there is any chance my first Priority date could be re-used?

It is possible to do that in certain circumstances.

It would be best to talk to your company's attorney and discuss the situation whether there would be any conflicts regarding the work experience, job requirements etc in coverting and reusing the date.
