You did a good job by going to India when your father was ill and attending to him. That is more important than any visa. If your H1 stamp in your passport is valid you should not have any problems coming back to the US. Even if you do get deported, there are tons of jobs in India. So you can always take up a job with an MNC in India which will finally send you back to the US on their visa. So, dont worry.
