Hi there everyone,

I Just have a question what to do...

My situation is this Me and My husband got married thru K1/fiance visa...

I got here because of that, unfortunately things are not working right between us. And he's about to file a divorce. Yes u heared me right...

I just got my greencard last month and expire in 2 yrs.

What should i do? because i'm afraid i will not be able to apply for US citizen without him.

What will be the best step to do as of the mean time in terms of filing for US citizenship in the future.

Get through the divorce or through counseling first... then you can "try" to remove conditions on your card (i-751) by yourself based on a "marriage entered in good faith".

But if it only lasted 2 months. I doubt it will be approved. You do not need him to apply for citizenship (it will only make it longer wait, that is all). But you need him to remove conditions on your card.

Get a lawyer.
