Indian citizen marrying in USA

Hi, me and my wife (both H1B visa holders) are Indian citizens and got married in US court. We want to know following things,
1. Is this US marriage certificate valid in India?
2. If I want an Indian marriage certificate, can I get it from Indian Embassy in USA? If yes, in miscellaneous form, should I select Marriage Registration or Marriage certificate?
