US tax return filing; spouse in india

I traveled to US in July,2012 on H1.. My wife is india, but she has ITIN which she got during our previous travel. Do I need to file my 2012 tax return as Married filing separeatly or Married filing jointly ...

You can do a joint return. As far I know, Spouse's location doesn't matter.
