H1 Tax filing without W2 form

Hi,

I came to US on Mar'2012 on H4 visa.Applied for H1b and got the petition approved,started working from Oct'2012.There was a delay in getting the SSN number and my employer paid the salary thro check without deducting the taxes.

Now, I got the SSN and approached the employer and he is not giving the W2 form.Is this somethnig normal?How can I file the tax without the W2 form.

You can simply report the income as it is on the return and pay taxes.
