  • Unemployment Benefits

I worked as a Research Associate on a federally-funded grant from May 2006-May 2009. I was on the university's payroll, just like all other staff. I got a regular bi-weekly paycheck. The grant has not ended, but becuase of the nature of the research project, my services were no longer needed. I am now unemployed. I am a permanent resident. Am I eligible for unemployment benefits?

If you are a permanent resident or citizen, you can contact the state unemployment agency. They are champions for the unemployed.
