Need to file USA income tax from India

I Worked in the US part of year 2009 and now I am back in India. How do I file my tax return for 2009 from India?. Do we need to take a professional help or it can be filed on our own?.

If it can be filed online, will IRS be able to post my refund to my bank account in India?. Please advise.

You can do it online using softwares such as TurboTax. To the best of my knowledge, they will credit refund only into the US bank.

Or you can take professional help.

My brother-in-law lives in the US. Can he file the tax on my behalf and have the tax refund posted to his account in the US then be transferred to my account in India?. OR Do I have to file from here and provide his US account no. to receive the refund?.

Please advise.
