  • E-2 process to obtain this.

We have been told various ways to get an E-2 Visa.

We are aware of the fact that you have to invest in a business, invest a certain amount, employ a certain number of american citizens, what the business needs to generate with regards to capital etc.....

However... some advise to apply for the E-2 straight out whilst others advise to get a B-2 Visa and then change the status of this to an E-2 visa. I am converned that this second method is not a reliable way to go.... has anyone had or heard of any experiences of this?????

Many people would be more comfortable setting up seeing where they are will live and put their investment, That is often hard to do from your native country.

Obtaining B-1/B-2 first will allow investor to come to U.S. first, for a few months, find a location and/or establish a business, and begin to set up the investment.

I think some that advise applying for E-2 straight out assume that the prospective investor already has a visa status (or comes from visa waiver country) and has already done the due dilligence on the investment.

      Stay Steady

      chavietta82--

First you should mention that you are getting an E2 visa from London. The London Embassy has been the one place that has been very difficult to work with over the last 18 months.

You could talk to 50 different Visa Specialist and get 50 different responses about the criteria and which way is the better way to come over.

The B1/B2 route and change of status has been used by many British seeking and E2 Visa. Florida has really become known for this.

Right now, as of now, you maybe better off doing the straight E2 Visa route.

You will need to talk to many visa specialists and decide not necessarily who says what you want to hear but who you think is most likely to obtain an E2 Visa for you.

Many Visa Specialist and lawyers in Florida specialize in the British London Embassy E2 Visa process.

      Anyway, good luck.
