I have received a job offer from a company in the states where they are willing to sponsor me for an E-3. Prior to this I had met with an immigration lawyer about the E-3 visa and if I would be eligible, they assured me that since I had a Bachelors degree I would have a good chance. The company has started legal proceedings and have informed me that I lack one year of a Bachelors degree and that my Australian Degree is not equivalent, I found this odd since Australian degrees are often only 3 year degrees. I am distraught since I might lose out on this job based on this and it is very close to a dream job for me. I have acquired both a Bachelors (3 years) and Associates in the relevant fields. I am unsure of where to go from here, I will be speaking to the same lawyer tomorrow, but any extra advice would be helpful since I am not in a position to revisit schooling and complete a year of a Masters degree and I do not have 3 years of experience working in my relevant field.
